Flowers & Fruit
A February Poem
The apple and cherry trees blossom and flower when the pike fishing is best.
They bear fruit when the hunting season begins.
Flowers and fruit represent the wait involved in beautiful things.
Flowers and fruit represent patience and grace, sustenance and gratitude.
They are the reward of finding what feels right and investing it with time.
They are the gifts of life and love. The greatest representation of beauty in nature.
Like trillium in the spring woods and blackberries in late summer, fruit and flowers mark and keep our time.
They feed our hearts and minds. Our bodies and our spirits.
Fruit comes to encourage our ancestral gatherings. To make us whole.
Flowers arrive when the beings and conditions around them have proved worthy of their presence.
Fruit and flowers bring joy and hope. They bring sweetness to man and nature.
They are hallmarks from an earlier time. Primal conveyances of Earth’s emotions.
A breath of life after a cold winter.
A show of beauty after one last spring thunderstorm.
Vibrance and color in otherwise lackluster landscapes.
Fruit is life and flowers are love.
Together they are everything.

Wonderful as always! See you at the banquet!
Good job Nate! Your Gramps is smiling down.
